NHC Sheriff’s Office vehicles damaged in crash, man arrested for multiple felony warrants

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man after an attempt to serve multiple warrants ended in a car crash in the 100 block of Shipyard Blvd. on Tuesday, March 21.

Jeremy David Caison, 35, has been arrested and charged with possession of firearm by felon, possession of schedule II controlled substance, felony violation, and resisting, delaying, or obstructing an officer. He is reportedly a suspect in a federal investigation as well.

According to a spokesperson with the sheriff’s office, NHSCO deputies were attempting to serve “multiple felony warrants” on Caison when he tried to get away.

Deputies maneuvered to box him in and Caison tried to get around them, causing the crash.

The scene has now been cleared.
