New Castle Resident Arrested on Gun Charges in Wilmington Police Stop

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of a 41-year-old New Castle resident on gun charges.

Lasondra Cannon has been charged with Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon.

The criminal complaint alleges that on May 24, at approximately 3:21 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division conducted a motor vehicle stop in the 1100 block of West 2nd Street. Officers made contact with the operator of the vehicle and a passenger, following a brief investigation police recovered a loaded .22 caliber handgun. The passenger of the vehicle was identified as 41-year-old Lasondra Cannon of New Castle, who was taken into custody without incident.

Cannon was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
