Good morning, Delaware.

Hope your week is going well so far.

As this week got underway yesterday, we introduced you to our 2023 Most Influential project, which highlights those we feel are making the biggest impact on our lives in Delaware.

We also unveiled our inaugural Most Influential Hall of Fame, for those who have made all our previous Most Influential lists.

Today we are releasing our 2023 Most Influential people in the categories of Sports, Entertainment, Community Service, Health, Law, Politics, Social Media, Business and Food. (See links below.)

We know not everyone will agree with our choices. That comes with the territory when you assemble any list like this, but we do hope you will meet a few new faces and enjoy the project.

And tell us who we missed so we can consider them next year.

Which food hall does it best?

An employee at Pizzeria Bardea makes a salad during lunchtime at DE.CO, a food hall located in the DuPont Building in downtown Wilmington on Thursday, March 16, 2023.

The City of Wilmington now boasts two large food halls.

Reporter Ryan Cormier couldn’t help but wonder, which market does it best?

It’s a tough gig but somebody had to do it … so he set off to discover the answer for himself.

“Four years after owning the downtown Wilmington food hall world, DE.CO in the DuPont Building has competition three blocks away from the new $5 million Chancery Market tucked away in the former Hercules Plaza building,’’ he writes.

“The 12,000-square-foot Chancery Market (N. Market and W. 13th streets) first opened its doors three months ago, hoping for downtown to bounce back after being battered by the COVID-19 pandemic.’’

Ryan couldn’t help but notice a remarkable similarity between the two places.

In our own March Madness bit of fun, we want your vote for your very favorite pie.

Be sure to make your vote count now, and as we go down from 4  to 2, and, eventually, the most beloved pizza place of them all.

Today, lifestyle and entertainment reporter Andre Lamar takes a closer look at the competition. (See link below).
