MENDOCINO COUNTY, 5/28/23 — After a three-year hiatus, the annual Farmers Convergence will take place from 8:30 am to 4 pm, Tuesday, June 20th, at Ridgewood Ranch in Willits.
This year’s program includes educational panels about potential farming and sustainability issues (such as climate change), with breakout groups, networking opportunities, and great food. Tickets are $10 and include a light breakfast and hearty lunch. This is an inclusive gathering and all are welcome, regardless of ability to pay.
The Farmers Convergence will further its goals of building community and strengthening the network of small farms and food producers across Mendocino and Lake counties. We invite farmers, foodies, and friends to learn from one another, fortify connection, and celebrate local food resiliency.
“The goal of the convergence this year is to further farmer resiliency through the theme of refresh, renew, reseed” says Sarah Marshall, NCO’s Food Policy & Promotions Manager. “We look forward to sharing inspiration and knowledge and gathering our local food community together after such a long hiatus”.
Register today at www.bit.ly/farmersconvergence.
Sponsors of the event are North Coast Opportunities’ MendoLake Food Hub, Farm to School and Good Farm Fund, School of Adaptive Agriculture, Golden Rule Community, Mendocino Food Policy Council & Blue Zones Project – Mendocino County.
