Williamsport, Pa. — Several witnesses claimed a woman threw a person down in the street and kicked them multiple times in the head during a fight near Penn College.

Mackenzie Jean Mastracco, of Williamsport, was allegedly the person identified as the aggressor during a fight in March of this year, according to Officer Catherine Farr.

Penn College police responded to a call for several people fighting in an alley near W. Third Street, Farr said. A vehicle was stopped by law enforcement as they arrived, Farr added.

A female in the backseat claimed to need medical attention for a concussion, according to the complaint. After EMS was called, interviews were conducted with the victims.

Several of those interviewed claimed a black female in a flannel shirt had grabbed a woman and kicked her multiple times in the head, according to investigators. The fight allegedly started over a door being shut in Mastracco’s face.

After the incident, the 19-year-old Mastracco returned to the home two times that night attempting to fight the victim, police said. On the third visit, the victim was thrown to the ground and kicked, police added. A second victim was also thrown down and dragged across the ground.

The victim identified several of Mastracco’s friends through social media, according to law enforcement, which ultimately helped investigators identify Mastracco.

During an interview in April, Mastracco admitted to fighting the victim. With a smile on her face, Mastracco confessed to punching the accuser, police said, and claimed to “just start swinging” when she fights. Mastracco allegedly said she was defending herself from the victim.

Multiple witnesses identified Mastracco as the aggressor in the incident, according to police.

Mastracco is being charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct, and harassment. No bail is listed for Mastracco, who is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing in July.
