On Tuesday morning a woman was found unconscious in the middle of Webb Road near 13th Street. According to the Wichita Police Department, she has since died.
Lori Lyman, 68, of Wichita, has been identified as the woman by WPD.
The woman was unresponsive and had injuries to her head and legs. She was in critical condition as the ambulance took her to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, where she was later pronounced dead.
Police are asking anyone who was in the area between 2 a.m. and 2:20 a.m. and saw anything suspicious, or if you are aware of a vehicle that was damaged related to this incident, to contact detectives at 316-268-4407 or call 911.
