Woman found in middle of Wichita road has died, WPD says

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A woman, who was found unconscious in the middle of Webb Road near 13th Street on Tuesday, has died.

Wichita Police Department officer Juan Rebolledo has identified the woman as 68-year-old Lori Lyman of Wichita.

Around 2:19 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of N. Webb Road and located Lyman in the roadway. She was unresponsive and had injuries to her head and legs. Lyman was taken to the hospital, where she died.

Several viewers have told KSN that the intersection of 13th and Webb was closed as police investigated.

Police are asking anyone who was in the area between 2 a.m. and 2:20 a.m. and saw anything suspicious, or if you are aware of a vehicle that was damaged related to this incident, to contact detectives at 316-268-4407 or call 911. Also, police ask anyone with recent contact with Lyman to contact detectives.
