    Motorcyclist injured in Southwest Parkway collision

    WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJT L) — A motorcyclist was reportedly thrown over a pick up in collision.

    According to Wichita Falls police, just before 10 pm., Saturday, June 15, 2024, a motorcyclist was injured when he slammed into the back of a pickup truck.

    The truck was westbound on Southwest Parkway at Kemp Blvd, waiting behind another vehicle at the red light at Kemp Boulevard, when the motorcyclist, also westbound, did not stop, and ran into the back of the truck, throwing the motorcycle driver over the truck.

    WFPD Sgt. Danny Wiggins said the cyclist received head injuries, but was alert and talking. He was taken by AMR ambulance to United Regional Hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries are not known.

    Wiggins said he was not wearing a helmet. No other injuries were reported.
