    WF police investigate a reported early-morning shooting

    WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — A woman was taken to the hospital after reporting she had been shot early Saturday.

    According to Wichita Falls Police, around 3:30 a.m. on June 15, 2024, officers and first responders were called to the Stripes Convenience store on Call Field Road at Kemp Boulevard for a woman who said she had been shot.

    She was taken to the hospital with an unknown injury.

    She told police she did not know who shot her or where it happened, but said it was somewhere between her home and the store.

    Officers searched the area but did not find any evidence. Officers on the scene said the alleged incident did not happen at the store and the victim’s injuries were not life-threatening.

    The case will be turned over to detectives.
