WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — A man who was stabbed by his girlfriend after she said she found out he was exposing himself to her three young children entered his plea on Monday morning in the 89th District Court.

Charles Aaron Brown, 33, of Wichita Falls, has been behind bars since December 2, 2022, or 557 days, on a charge of indecency with a child by exposure.

On Monday morning, June 10, 2024, Brown appeared in the 89th District Courtroom, with Judge Charles Barnard presiding, after a plea agreement reducing the charge to the state jail felony offense of injury to a child was signed on Thursday, June 6.

As a part of the plea agreement, Brown pled guilty to injury to a child on Monday and was sentenced to time served. Brown must also abide by a protective order forbidding contact with the three children.

Brown’s former girlfriend and the mother of the three children, Sintera Ann Mask, 28, pled guilty in October 2023 to a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after police said she stabbed Brown in November 2022.

Police responded to the 900 block of Humphreys around 8:45 p.m. on November 1, 2022. The victim, Brown, told police he had been stabbed in his abdomen by his girlfriend of four years, Mask. He initially told police she had accused him of talking to other women .

Brown’s charge and arrest came after Mask told police she stabbed Brown when she found out he exposed himself to her five, six, and nine-year-old children while she was at work.

The 9-year-old female told interviewers at Patsy’s House that they had been watching a movie when Brown came out of the bathroom with no clothes on, made lewd comments, and got on top of her 5-year-old brother.

She said he warned them that if they told their mother, he would “whoop” them.

Mask was sentenced to 2 years in prison, set to run concurrently with a five-year sentence for a tampering charge out of Ellis County.
