New Riverwest bar Old Time Sake wants to be a place for a more mature customer base
A new bar in Riverwest is looking to attract an older crowd to a spot that will be filled with antique items and might have an older age minimum than most local bars. Milwaukee County Zoo breaks ground to renovate Humboldt penguin habitat
The Milwaukee County Zoo's 15 Humboldt penguins will have an upgraded home in the near future. On March 27, a groundbreaking ceremony was held to kick off construction on the penguin habitat renovation. The project is being funded by a $3.5 million grant through the state's Tourism Capital Grant Program, which was funded by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. An additional $1.5 million from the county's 2023 surplus sales tax proceeds also was allocated due to higher-than-expected costs associated with labor and the design of a new water filtration system.
