An investigation is underway after a motorcycle crash killed a 41-year-old man in White Hall on Monday, according to the Maryland State Police.
Police said troopers from the Bel Air Barrack responded around 6:30 p.m. to a report of a motorcycle crash on the 4200 block of Norrisville Road.
Through their preliminary investigation, police learned 41-year-old Samuel McNutt III was driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle south on the 4200 block of Norrisville road with other motorcycles.
McNutt failed to make a left turn, and the motorcycle traveled off the right side of the road, police said.
The motorcycle hit a road sign, police said, and continued into a utility pole.
Police said McNutt was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS personnel.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
