Lady Aces Beat Ramsey for 10th Win in a Row, Advance to Regional Semifinals
Mulberry Grove softball continued its late season roll, extending its win streak to 10 games with a 12-1 win over Ramsey in the quarterfinals of the Greenfield 1A Regional on Monday. The Lady Aces were quick to get themselves on the scoreboard with three runs in the bottom of the first inning, but busted the game open in the bottom of the second innings with seven runs for a big 10-0 lead. They would extend that lead out to 12-0 before Ramsey would score their first and only run in the top of the fourth inning. The Aces would hold Ramsey scoreless in the fifth to close out the win. Mulberry Grove improves to 16-6 on the season and advances to the regional semifinals where they will face Bunker Hill at 6:30pm tonight in Greenfield. With the loss, Ramsey’s season comes to a close with a record of 4-16.
