BORGER, Texas (KFDA) - Reality Check is a program designed to teach students how to manage their money in a responsible way. “It gives the kids a chance to see what life is like outside of high school. They’re about two weeks away from graduation and you have these grand ideas of what life’s going to be like and then all of a sudden this kind of is a reality check like, ‘Oh I ran out of money, what am I going to do now?’” said Earl McDaniel, government teacher at Borger High School.

Voters in two school districts in the Texas Panhandle have approved a merger. The Amarillo Pioneer reports that the Borger and Spring Creek school systems are on track to become one entity later this year after voters from each district approved the proposal.
