There's nothing more cinematic than seeing two grizzly bears in an all-out-war over dinner. And there's no better place for such an epic battle to happen than Yellowstone National Park. That's the backdrop for this grizzly bear showdown, and for a place that's renowned for its beautiful landscape, it sure can provide some ugly fights amongst the wildlife that calls it home. The two sizable grizzlies (grizzly bears can weigh between 400 to 1,000 pounds) in this video couldn't agree on who had the right to claim the dead bison laying on the ground as their own. So, they settled it like two fired up, fully grown bruins and went right at one another's throats. And quick side note, the two grizzlies fighting each other made for the perfect opportunity for a wolf to move in and snack on the bison's remains. There were some scavenging birds in the area too that were able to grab a piece of the bison, so the bears probably would have been better off just taking turns in hindsight (good luck getting that message to them). Then again, if they had manners and knew "sharing was caring," we wouldn't have gotten this epic footage of two apex predators fighting for food, thus fighting for survival. We also have Wolf Tracker guide Luke Jensen to thank as well, since he's the one that captured this on camera for the rest of the world to see. As explained in the caption below that was included in the Wolf Tracker's post:
"Drama at the dinner table! 907F, of the Junction Butte Pack, looks on as two male grizzly bears fight over the remains of a deceased bison. This incredible scene was captured by one of our guides, Luke Jensen, on one of his guided tours last week." https://www.instagram.com/p/C_1eu4CyMTk/?utm_source=ig_embed&ig_rid=a08acc7c-c78d-410f-b907-b89dc18a7e0f&img_index=1 And hey, it looks like at least one of the bears knows about the golden rule of sharing, since it was nice enough to share the bison with the wolf that was also scavenging the carcass for food...
