Prepare to hear a lot of Jelly Roll this upcoming college football season.

ESPN has trusted the Grammy nominated Nashville native to curate the song of the football season (which kicks off August 24th), and Jelly Roll came through with a new song for the worldwide leader of sports. The rapper-turned-country-artist has offered up a new song, “Get By,” to act as ESPN’s theme for all things college football.

“Get By” will likely join “Liar,” “Dragging These Roots,” and the emotional “I Am Not Okay” on Jelly Roll’s upcoming album (which we don’t know a lot about other than it being on its way). But before it finds a home with his newest project, the single will be attached to ESPN as college football’s anthem all season long.

The song was debuted during an appearance from Jelly Roll on Pat McAfee’s show:

Curtis Friends, ESPN’s Vice President of Marketing, was thrilled to announce Jason DeFord (A.K.A. Jelly Roll) as the artist behind this year’s signature song:

“There’s a powerful connection between music and college football and for more than a decade, the ESPN college football music anthem has been integral to the promotion of the sport while its release has marked the unofficial start to the season.

Jelly Roll is a talented, award-winning artist whose music speaks to the passion of college football fans across the country, and we’re excited ‘Get By’ will soundtrack the sport all season long.”

ESPN made it official with the post below, which features a first look at Jelly Roll’s new song “Get By.” From what we can tell, it follows in the footsteps of many Jelly songs and presents a lot of energy. That’ll be perfect for hyping up those big-time matchups in college football throughout the year.

    Check it out:

That caption says it all… Jelly Roll definitely has me hyped for college football’s return.

This partnership makes it 11 seasons that ESPN has called upon a popular artist to provide them with a college football anthem for the season. Jelly Roll joins the likes of Post Malone, Fall Out Boy, X Ambassadors, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Lauren Alaina, Imagine Dragons, Marshmello & Juice WRLD, and DJ Snake & Rick Ross among others to provide a theme song for college football on ESPN.

Now I just have to “Get By” for another 15 days without college football (see what I did there?).
