    WHEELING, W.Va. (WTRF) –

It’s dedication and passion that stands the test of time.

For over 45 years, thousands of runners have taken on the challenge of what is now known as the Ogden Half Marathon.

In that time a number of Olympic and world-class runners have joined local runners to try to take on the hills of the Friendly City.

But, only three runners can say they’ve run every race since it’s beginning in 1977.

Tim Cogan, Pat Cronin and Michael Lemaster have earned the title of Ironmen and look forward to lacing up their shoes for year 46.

“There have been some remarkable runners who just can’t run anymore. Somehow, by sheer luck or God’s grace I’m able to keep traversing the course.”

“I just still do it because I always have done it and it’s just what I do on the Saturday before Memorial Day. To have a streak like that going, you hate to break it.”

Cronin and Cogan will be joined by  Lamaster, who is originally from Columbus Ohio, but says he loves the challenge the Wheeling race provides.
