Elm Grove, W.Va. (WTRF) – Easter is almost here, and one organization is about to make sure that as many people in our area as possible have a wonderful Easter meal.

The Bethlehem Apostolic Temple has spent over 30 years on this mission, and today the public had their chance to help out.

Volunteers spent Thursday outside of Riesbeck’s in Elm Grove collecting food and donations to go toward their annual Easter Basket Giveaway on Saturday at 11am at the North Wheeling Community Dream Center.

Bishop Darrell Cummings tells us that their goal is to make a difference in someone’s life.

“On Saturday will be the Easter food basket giveaway. It will be at the North Wheeling Community Dream Center, and it is a first-come, first-serve basis. We normally help in between three and four hundred people. We’ve helped as many as a thousand, but the average is probably five hundred, and if someone needs help we want them to feel free to come and get help.”

Bishop Cummings wants to thank Riesbeck’s for allowing them to put this Stuff the Bus event on.

Again, the event is this Saturday, March 30th, and starts at 11:00am at the North Wheeling Community Dream center at 407 Main St. in Wheeling.
