Delayed opening for Ashland pool; bus service to take kids to Flatwoods pool
ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) - A popular public pool will not be opening on time because of technical problems, but patrons are being provided transportation to another swimming spot. While renovations were being done at the Dawson Pool in Ashland, state inspectors found problems that need to be fixed before the pool can open, according to a post from the City of Ashland’s Facebook page.
P’Town Float ready for June 2
As warmer weather shapes up, and the waters of rivers, lakes, and streams surrounding the greater Portsmouth area lose their winter and spring frigidity, organizations are readying the public to get their paddles back out and launch in canoes and kayaks once again. One of the biggest events of the early summer, when it comes to water sports, the P’Town Float, is ready to welcome guests for the second year come June 2.
Jeeps are jumping for joy after historic win
Athens, Oh. (WSAZ) - Two of the three losses this year for the South Webster softball team have been to Wheelersburg. On Friday night, the Jeeps made sure there was not a third. South Webster defeated the Pirates 4-3 in the Division III regional final and are heading to the final four next week in Akron.
