'Inclusive Space For Everyone': Plaza District Salon Offers Free Haircuts For Pride Month
For Pride Month this June, a brand new salon in the Plaza District is making it their mission to bring inclusive haircut services to OKC. “I want to make an inclusive space for everyone,” Code.Micro Salon owner, Ashton Cooley, said. “We have a non-gendered service menu so all of our haircut prices are just based by the actual service like hourly or by the time it takes us.”
New hotel, office construction to erase gap between OKC's Innovation District and downtown
Construction is set to start later this year on two projects that will erase a decades-long gap between Oklahoma City’s Innovation District and downtown. The Innovation District, a relatively new reference to the cluster of hospitals, science labs, schools and bio-tech firms, has developed over the past half century east of Interstate 235. Downtown development, meanwhile, has continued east through previously blighted property and the highway easement west of I-235.

As a warm front surges north t’storms are expected to develop this afternoon in the Panhandle and move east into northwestern and then northern OK overnight. There’s a Marginal Risk for severe storms with large hail and damaging winds the main threats. These storms should weaken overnight and probably won’t make it all the way to OKC.

DNA identifies St. Louis County rape suspect after 31 years
A man accused of a violent 1992 St. Louis County rape is now under arrest. Stacy Pollock, 62, was taken into police custody Wednesday in Oklahoma City. The suspect was identified through DNA analysis. He may face lifetime supervision if convicted of the felony.
