Friends and family holding prayer vigil for missing Whatcom County woman on Sunday

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Friends and family of a missing Whatcom County woman are holding a prayer vigil and ceremony for her tomorrow Sunday, March 26.

Julie Montague-Ayers is 67 years old and has dementia. She has been missing for more than two weeks, said her sister.

She disappeared during a walk in Kendall, northwest of Bellingham.

Police have searched for her by helicopter and drone.

Her friends and family said that Julie and her husband were lifelong religious ministers before dementia forced her to retire.

Sunday’s Interfaith Prayer Vigil and Say Her Name Ceremony is at 3 p.m. at the Maritime Heritage Park Amphitheater in Bellingham at 500 West Holly Street.

If anyone knows something about her disappearance they are asked to call the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office.
