The owner of Arnold’s Country Kitchen is planning a fast-food concept for North Nashville. Set to come in early 2025, the spot will open at 1110 Buchanan St. in North Nashville.

Kahlil Arnold is teaming up with Moni Advani and Kevin Woods to bring the yet-to-be-named concept to life. Local restaurant industry vet Edgar Pendley is assisting with the design of the interior and kitchen.

Arnold said the new spot will be a twist on Arnold’s Country Kitchen, which is known for classic comfort-style Southern dishes.

“We’re still going to have homemade food like Arnold’s with roast beef, fried chicken and catfish,” Arnold said. “So I took the top three things we sell. I’m going to have those available as entrees, but I’m also going to put those on sandwiches.”

With the sandwich concept, customers can expect items like a French dip-style sandwich with Arnold’s recipes, a fried chicken sandwich and a catfish sandwich. He still plans to offer sides such as french fries and coleslaw. The spot will also maintain Arnold’s Country Kitchen’s rotating vegetables and sides, which change throughout the week.

Arnold said he expects to be open for lunch and dinner, and there might be a brunch on the weekends. He is aiming to have a drive-thru for the sandwich spot as well.

The future of Arnold’s Country Kitchen has been uncertain for the past couple years. It closed for much of 2023 and was on the market, but when a deal fell through for the purchase of the property, it reopened on Jan. 8. Arnold said that his experience with the attempted sale helped to inspire this new spot.

“I’ve been waiting to do another place,” Arnold said. “I wanted to be on the offensive, take my life in my hands and see what I can make happen.”
