A burger chain that has been considered one of the best-tasting burgers in America is diligently working to open its first Michigan location in Flint . According to initial reporting by MLive , The Flint MOOYAH Burgers at 4481 Bristol Road hoped to open in Spring. Although there has been delays dring the permitting process and the item was last postponed by the Flint Planning Commission in their March meeting.

The upcoming location is owned and operated by local franchisee Walid Bounenni , who told What Now Detroit that he is hoping to open the location late Fall this year, within the next four months. Bounenni is an experienced entrepreneur with multiple business ventures, including a martial arts center in Flint. The Flint MOOYAH Burgers is the first of a five-unit development agreement and is located inside a gas station convenience store at the southeast corner of Bristol and Linden roads.

“I’ve witnessed the growth of the convenience store and food service industries first-hand as a warehouse supplier, that’s why I’m thrilled to be developing the first MOOYAH in this non-traditional format,” said Bounenni in a news release. “With my background of working with convenience stores and MOOYAH’s best-tasting burgers, I knew that this was the perfect franchise opportunity for me.”

Founded in 2007, Texas-based MOOYAH Burgers currently has 90 locations across the nation. The chain is known for using never-frozen, 100% Certified Angus Beef brand burgers, all-natural turkey burgers and plant-based vegan burgers.
