CITRUS PARK, Fla. (WFLA) — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has identified multiple persons of interest after a teenager was shot in Citrus Park on Saturday night.

Officials say 16-year-old Peter Hyman Jr. or “PJ” was shot outside the Red Robin at the Citrus Park Town Center.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a call around 7:16 p.m. for reports of shots fired outside the mall.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they found the individual suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body in the restaurant’s parking lot. He was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital where he later died.

Investigators are currently conducting interviews and gathering evidence in the case.

“Detectives have also determined that the two individuals detained Saturday evening are not involved.” said HCSO officials in a statement.

Meanwhile, the family of Peter Hyman Jr. said they are “heartbroken” the boy was taken in an “act of senseless gun violence.”

“He was only 16 years old. He was a good kid, honor student at Jefferson High School, member of Greater Mount Carmel Church, and a beloved son, brother, grandchild, and friend. Those who know him know he was funny, sweet, goofy, and loved to dance, play video games, and basketball. He loved his family and friends and made friends with anyone without judgment,” a GoFundMe description read .

I wish it was mandatory if you kill someone, you get no second chance like the victim and get rewarded with Life in Prison. All involved in PJ’s death are 💩 and all hope they get what’s coming to them to fuck their lives over too.
