New director at Butterfield Library
WESTMINSTER, Vt. – Alison Baitz has been hired as the new director of the Butterfield Library in Westminster, Vt. She starts work on May 20. Baitz received her Master of Arts in children’s literature, and Master of Science in library and information science from Simmons University satellite programs, located in South Hadley and Amherst, Mass. She has worked in a variety of library settings, and enjoys every aspect of the work.

With nearly four decades of experience in the industry, Steve Hart has been promoted from senior superintendent to general superintendent. During his 11-year tenure at DEW, Hart has served in various capacities, including estimator, superintendent, and project manager. In his new role, Hart will oversee superintendents based out of DEW’s offices in Portland, Maine, as well as those in Keene and Manchester, N.H. Hart is OSHA 30-hour certified.
Vermont man sentenced to federal prison for running Keene-based drug trafficking ring
CONCORD, N.H. — A Vermont man has been sentenced to nearly six years in prison for his role in a Keene-based drug trafficking ring. Several people have been charged in the case, but investigators said Lamar Carter, 33, was a leader of a drug trafficking ring operating out of a home and various hotels in the area.
