Things to do across Vermont and Northern New York Today
SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. — If you're looking for things to do across our region today, there are many events in Vermont and Northern New York. First up, happening this evening in Waterbury Center is the Art Jam: Open Mic event. It's from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Grange Hall Cultural Center. You can sing two songs or share up to 10 minutes of written work. All instruments, ages, abilities, and styles are welcome. Anyone can join as a member of the audience, and admission is free.
Londonderry 5K FreeRun
The first Londonderry 5K FreeRun will be held on Saturday, May 25, starting at 9 a.m., with subsequent FreeRuns held every Saturday during the summer. The Londonderry 5K FreeRun is a free, fun, and friendly weekly 5K community event. Walk, jog, run, volunteer, or spectate – it’s up to you. This is a weekly event that we hope to run through the summer and the fall. All are welcome, including leashed dogs. We hope you’ll join us.
Chester Community Greenhouse and Gardens plots available
CHESTER, Vt. – The Chester Community Greenhouse and Gardens is excited to start our 2024 season, and would love to have you join us this year. Our organic community garden is located on Canal Street in Chester. 10-foot by 10-foot plots are ready to plant, and are assigned on a first come, first served basis. Limited equipment is provided through a generous donation by Erskine’s Grain and Garden. Seeds are available at the seed library, and through gardener sharing. If you would like to volunteer for a gardening experience, we also have plots designated for the Chester Andover Food Shelf that will need tending and care.
