Central District Shooting Investigation

 On March 26, 2023, at approximately 10:11 p.m., Central District patrol officers responded to the Unit block of South Greene Street for a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment.

 Upon arriving at the hospital, officers met a 30-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the left ankle. The victim was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Preliminary investigators revealed that the victim was walking in the 2400 block of Homewood Avenue when he was approached by a suspect who began shooting at him. The victim ran and noticed he was shot in his ankle. The victim then transported himself to an area hospital.

Central Shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control over the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact Central District Shooting detectives at 410-396-2411

Central District Shooting Investigation (Hospital Walk-In)

On March 26, 2023, at approximately 10:30 a.m., officers reported to an area hospital to investigate a shooting victim seeking treatment.

Upon arriving at the hospital, officers located a 29-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Central District Detectives are investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call 410-396-2411.

Northern District Fatal Accident

On March 25, 2023, at approximately 11:50 p.m., Central District Patrol was canvassing for a vehicle related to a License Plate Reader (LPR) hit for a vehicle wanted in reference to robberies in Westminster.

Patrol located the vehicle in the area of the 1000 block of West North Avenue.

While Patrol attempted to execute a traffic stop, the suspect fled. Ultimately, the suspect lost control of the vehicle and crashed in the area of the 5000 block of Roland Avenue.

The front passenger of the vehicle, a 74-year-old female, was pronounced dead on scene. The driver was transported to an area hospital in police custody and is expected to survive.

The suspect is awaiting charges.

The BPD Crash Team, along with the Special Investigations Response Team, the Office of the Attorney General and Westminster City Police, responded.

Northeast District Shooting Investigation

On March 25, 2023, at approximately 11:55 p.m., officers responded to the 7200 block of Harford Road for reports of a shooting.

Once at the location, officers located a 55-year-old male victim suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds.

Medics transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment. Further details are unavailable at this time.
