Basketball, an unpaid bookie when it comes to going after knees, recently collected on Boulder junior Dominic Trudgeon. Trudgeon, a starter since freshman year, tore his meniscus and anterior cruciate ligament during a fall league game in late September, sidelining him for the season. Though as painful and abrupt as the ending was — something Boulder knows all too well after being the first team left out of the Class 6A postseason field last year — the Panthers believe it can also be a meaningful new start, with him now moving into an assistant coaching role under Matthew Smith.
