Westlake has several transportation projects moving forward this summer. That means drivers will need to plan accordingly for new road openings and closures.

During his presentation to council May 30, Director of Community Engagement Jon Sasser highlighted three transportation projects that will affect drivers in Westlake in the coming weeks and months.
  • Construction on Parish Lane, which connects Roanoke to SH 170, should be completed by mid-June.
  • The entrance ramp from Solana Boulevard to SH 114 east should be opening in the next few days.
  • The off-ramp from SH 114 west to Solana Boulevard will be shut down for four months.
Sasser recognized the frustration drivers might have with the numerous construction projects and talked about the importance of keeping the lines of communication open with residents.

“We’ve been sending out a lot of information about the 114 exits,” Sasser said. “It’s good news, bad news, but it’s progress nonetheless.”
