Health Advisory Issued For 16 Palm Beach County Beaches, Including Boca
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Three Boca Raton beaches are among 16 Palm Beach County swimming spots now under a water quality advisory, after state health officials found elevated bacteria levels in tests taken Monday. The Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County (DOH-Palm Beach) says samples collected Monday, October 26, 2026, at South Inlet Park, Red Reef Park and Spanish River failed to meet the state’s recreational water quality criteria for Enterococcus bacteria. So did samples from beaches stretching north through Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, Lantana, Palm Beach, Riviera Beach, Jupiter and Tequesta. The department is advising against swimming or any other water-related activity at the affected locations because of an increased risk of illness. The high readings turned up during regular water quality monitoring, with bacteria levels exceeding the threshold set by state guidelines. The advisory stays in place until levels fall back below the accepted health standard. These are the beaches under the advisory: South Inlet Park — 1100 S. Ocean Blvd., Boca Raton, FL 33432 Red Reef Park — 1400 N. Ocean Blvd., Boca Raton, FL 33432 Spanish River — 3001 N. A1A, Boca Raton, FL 33431 Sandoway-Delray Beach
