Job and internship fair at Westfield State University

WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Westfield State University hosted a job and internship fair Wednesday afternoon, attracting aspiring students and hiring organizations from across the region.

More than 80 organizations were in attendance, among those were local employers like Bank ESB, Big Y, The Behavioral Health Network, even the City of New Haven and Encore Boston Harbor. Massachusetts and Vermont State Police were also there recruiting alongside officers from as far as Arlington County, Virginia.

Westfield State advertised positions for every major area of study and they meant it. From banking to broadcasting, everyone is looking for hard-working candidates.

“We can definitely teach a skill, its harder to come by someone who has a good personality and someone who wants to learn so that’s big with us,” said Eliza Diaz, a Human Resources assistant.

Alissa O’Leary from BankESB told 22News, “For our teller roles, its really only cash handling and some customer service experience and training. If you are willing to learn, we are willing to teach.”

22News was also in attendance and yes, we are hiring! If you’re curious, just check out our jobs page.
