If what you eat at baseball games is just as important to you as the game, you're in luck. Christian Petroni, the former chef/owner behind the Fortina Restaurant Group and the 2018 Food Network Star who wears his Bronx personality on his (very) tattooed sleeve, will now have his cheesy garlic bread served at Yankee Stadium.

The ooey gooey bread, loaded with garlic butter and a mixture of mozzarella, pecorino, and parmesan, is inspired by the red sauce joints he grew up in and features his eight-hour marinara sauce. It also features his favorite sesame semolina loaf, which comes from a Bronx bakery.

Starting March 30 when the stadium opens, Yankee fans will be able to find it in two varieties: regular or with pepperoni, at two concessions, specifically in Section 125 and Section 310.

Petroni said when he's in town — he's often travelling to film for TV — he'll be at the large window at Section 125 making his bread.

This is the first time Petroni has sold his bread at a stadium — it currently sells on Goldbelly — and he's beyond excited. "I grew up 10 minutes away from the stadium so to be here with my garlic bread is an honor," he said. "There's nothing that makes happier than sharing the food of my childhood."

Chef Christian Petroni's garlic bread, with a side of sauce for dipping, is now featured at Yankee Stadium, about 10 minutes away from where he grew up in the Bronx.

Other newcomers to the stadium food line-up this year include Fuku and Mac Truck in addition to returning partners such as Streetbird by Marcus Samuelsson, Bobby Flay’s “Bobby’s Burgers,” Lobel’s, Mighty Quinn’s, Chickie’s & Pete’s, City Winery, the Halal Guys, Sumo Dog, Benihana, Oatly and Wings of New York.

The Stadium’s expanded food and beverage menu also includes a variety of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options, as well as lettuce and herbs grown in a vertical, aeroponic garden system called Tower Garden, located inside Yankee Stadium’s Gate Two.
