Pedestrian struck by car, killed in St. Paul
A 46-year-old man is dead after he was struck by a car in St. Paul on Saturday morning. The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened around 2:13 a.m. near Highway 52 and Alabama Street. The victim, Cher Vang, was walking in the roadway when he was hit, officials say. The driver, a 62-year-old Cottage Grove man wasn't hurt. State patrol says alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

Minnesota Woman Ordered to Prison For Death of Pregnant Woman
Coon Rapids, MN (KROC-AM News) - A 21-year-old Minnesota woman is headed to prison for driving drunk and claiming the life of a pregnant woman last summer. According to the criminal complaint filed against Makayla April Sue Richardson in Anoka County Court, a preliminary breath test measured her blood-alcohol-concentration at .18 following the crash that killed 26-year-old Melinda Thao of Coon Rapids. Her unborn child later died from injuries sustained in the crash.
