WEST ST. PAUL, Minn. – Residents of West St. Paul are making sure everyone is allowed to celebrate Pride Month, no matter the cost.
A rainbow pride flag was stolen from the front porch of Rob Wedewer and his wife on June 1.
When the theft was discovered, Wedewer took it upon himself to not only replace his flag, but multiply it. He’s raised nearly $2,000 on a GoFundMe page, and is giving away multiple Pride flags.
Wedewer said the first delivery of 20 flags is scheduled for Monday night.
Any funds that are not used for flags will be donated to West St. Paul Pride. Wedewer is still taking requests for free flags via email at wspprideflags@gmail.com.
