2 hospitalized, 2 more injured after head on crash in Sacramento
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Four people were injured, two critically, after a car crash in Sacramento Saturday afternoon, according to Sacramento Metro Fire. Three cars were involved in the crash on Bradshaw Road south of Jackson Highway and officials say it was head on with people needing to be extricated just before 2 p.m.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — All 11 people involved in aSacramento crash that left three dead were related, according to the family. The driver of the sedan carrying all 11 passengers, for reasons unknown, lost control and crashed into a tree, according to the Sacramento Police Department. Two women were in the car, one of them died at the scene, and another was seriously injured. The other nine passengers were children ages 3-8.

Arson suspect for Woodland house fire arrested
YOLO COUNTY -- The arson suspect for a house fire in Yolo County has been apprehended, according to Yolo County Sheriff's Office. The fire occurred on Friday, May 26th, west of the city of Woodland. Upon investigation, Yolo County Sheriff's Deputies determined that an arsonist had deliberately set the fire. They managed to obtain a detailed suspect description, which allowed them to locate him within a mile's distance. The 39-year-old suspect, identified as Citrus Heights resident Afra Mani, was subsequently apprehended and booked into the Yolo Couty Jail, where he faces charges for the arson.
Vigil held for slain Grant High senior Billy Scott Jr.
SACRAMENTO - Family and friends gathering tonight to remember a Grant Union High School senior murdered just hours before his graduation. The memorial was held at Karl Rosario Park.Eighteen-year-old Billy Scott Junior was shot and killed Thursday while in a car with friends. Sacramento County investigators are going door to door in North Highlands to find out exactly where the shooting happened. Officials say they drove away from the scene toward Grant Union High School to flag down an officer for help. At graduation last night, Billy Scott Senior walked across the stage in a cap and gown, receiving a diploma on his son's behalf. His family says he had been looking forward to graduation night."I know that's what he wanted so bad, I was so proud to put on that cap and gown and represent him... because that's me," said Billy Scott Sr.

1 dead, 1 injured after being shot inside an apartment in Stockton Boulevard
SACRAMENTO -- One man is dead and another injured in an early morning shooting in Sacramento, said authorities. The shooting occurred early Thursday morning just before 6 a.m., in the 7400 block of Stockton Boulevard. According to a spokesperson from Sacramento County Sheriff's Office, both men knew each other and shot each other after getting into an argument inside an apartment. One of the victims, a 56-year-old man, was hit in the chest and eventually died at the hospital. The other victim, a 49-year-old man, was hit in the neck and is expected to recover from his injuries.Deputies say the 49-year-old man has been identified as Julian Brooks and he has now been arrested.

9 dogs rescued after going missing during a garage fire in Sacramento
SACRAMENTO -- Fire crews rescued nine dogs who went missing during a garage fire, said authorities. According to Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, the fire broke out in a converted garage of a duplex. Upon arrival, fire crews put out the blaze and searched for victims. All occupants managed to get out safely, but nine dogs were reported missing. The dogs were eventually found, with seven being resuscitated with CPR and oxygen. One dog and her litter were sent to the vet clinic.
