Lippert and Henderson named West Linn High School Athletes of the Week for Sept. 20
Lippert is a junior on the West Linn High School varsity cross country team, and Henderson is a junior flyer on the varsity cheer squad.
Representing West Linn High School in cross country and cheer, junior athletes Ryan Lippert and Paige Henderson have been named Athletes of the Week for the week of September 20th.
At the Meriwether Classic, Lippert finished 15th overall with a time of 16:52.61, leading the charge for the boys’ team. According to his coach Jay Schrotzberger, “[Lippert’s] put in an amazing amount of work over the summer and continues to do everything he can to improve himself and his team. He's not afraid to go out and mix it up with much more experienced runners and his potential is only starting to make itself known.”
Henderson, meanwhile, is recognized for her contributions to the sideline, game day and competition teams. According to her coach Shannon Maloney, “[Henderson] is a triple threat when she hits the mat. Her stunting is fast becoming one of her strongest skills, not to be overshadowed by her incredible tumbling and performance abilities. Add this up and Paige catapults to the top of the list of West Linn athletes to watch this year!”
