Bethel Butikk celebrates 20 years and grand re-opening
WESTBY, Wis. – The community is invited to celebrate Bethel Butikk’s 20th anniversary of service and attend the grand re-opening of their newly-remodeled Thrift Shop. On Saturday, June 1, 2024, there will be a 20th Anniversary Party & Grand Re-Opening event held at Bethel Butikk, 341 Black River Ave, Westby, from 9 a.m. to noon. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. with light refreshments provided.

26-year-old Sparta man convicted in 2016 Fond du Lac firebombing of Doty Street home
FOND DU LAC – A 26-year-old Sparta man was found guilty of three felonies related to a 2016 firebombing on Doty Street. Elliot J. Schneider was convicted of damage of property by use of explosives, first-degree reckless endangering safety and felony bail jumping, according to a May 13 news release from Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney.
