Sandcastle Waterpark open for season after improvement project

PITTSBURGH — Sandcastle Waterpark in West Homestead has officially opened for the season!

The park has completed its improvement project and opened with a new look.

“We are looking forward to welcoming guests to the brand-new Sandcastle this season, with eye-catching upgrades throughout the entire park,” said Assistant General Manager, Zach Zapf. “The team has been working hard to elevate the park experience in every way. Our guests are sure to be wowed by all the improvements.”

The newest attractions include Bomb’s Away, a new waterslide. Both Mon Tsunami and Mushroom Pool and Dragon’s Den have received upgrades.

Sandcastle is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Memorial Day, and then from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends until June 19, when weekday hours begin.
