The Lantern Diner in West Hempstead has now been put on the market.
A sign on the door of the Lantern Diner in West Hempstead says it is closed until further notice for kitchen renovations.
However, the diner has now been put on the market.
According to court documents filed by the county clerk in 2022, the Hempstead Turnpike space is in foreclosure.
Records show the diner has been facing financial issues over the last few years because of unpaid taxes.
The diner has been in business since 1964.
A real estate agent says the diner is for sale and they are asking for $3.5 million.
