Police: Hartland break-in suspect made meal, slept in bed, and left
HARTLAND, Vt. (WCAX) - A Hartland home break-in has community members puzzled and police asking for the public’s help. Police say sometime between May 9th and 16th broke into a home on Route 5 while the homeowners were out of town. They say the suspect then made a meal, slept in a bed, and left without taking anything.
Woodstock to host first pride festival

The group approached the town’s selectboard several months ago requesting “Hometown Heroes” banners be hung around town as part of a national trend recognizing first responders and veterans.
Missing Dartmouth grad student found dead in Connecticut River
LEBANON, Vt. (WCAX) - Police in Lebanon say a missing Dartmouth graduate student was found dead in the Connecticut River on Monday. Authorities say Kexin Cai, 26, had been missing since May 15 and was last seen riding an e-bike at around 6 p.m. headed toward West Lebanon that day.
Green Key sees 10 calls to Hanover Police Department, no arrests
Over Green Key weekend on May 17 and May 18, the Hanover Police Department received six medical assistance calls for intoxicated persons, three noise complaint calls and one call for a disturbance on Webster Ave., according to an email statement from lieutenant Michael Schibuola. No students were arrested, Schibuola added. Safety and Security director Keiselim Montás wrote in a separate email statement that there were 17 Good Samaritan calls.
