Closed Country Greenery flower shop to hold estate sale
Moorhead, Minn. (Valley News Live) - Country Greenery, a popular downtown Moorhead flower shop, is set to hold an estate sale this weekend, April 20 and 21, 2024. Back in December 2023, a sign was posted on the door simply stating, “Country Greenery is temporarily closed.” The shop never went into further detail about the closure.
Woman reportedly texted employer and said her ex was holding her hostage
FARGO, N.D. (TCD) -- Police recently arrested a Minnesota man who allegedly held his ex-girlfriend hostage inside her own home in North Dakota. According to a news release from the Fargo Police Department, on Monday, April 8, shortly after 5 a.m., officers responded to the 2600 block of 14th Street South after a female victim texted her employer and said "she would not be able to come to work because she was being held hostage by her ex-boyfriend." The victim’s employer immediately contacted police.

This is community theatre at its finest, courtesy of the No Name Players in the beautifully restored Lisbon Opera House. The No Name Players started out as a group of folks in the community who wanted to find a way to raise funds for their historic Opera House via bi-annual performances in the spring and fall. The Opera House was built in 1889 and housed a plethora of different businesses in that time. Admission for the play is $10 ($13 for the Gallery) and is available at the door.
Send-off for Moorhead High School Speech Team heading to State
MOORHEAD, Minn. (Valley News Live) - It was quite the send-off Thursday afternoon for the Moorhead High School speech team. More than two dozen students were sent away with cheers, cowbells, gift bags and good luck as they head to the Minnesota State High School League State Tournament. They even had a police escort as the charter bus pulled away from the school.
