Missing Wentzville teen located safe

UPDATE: The 16-year-old was located in good health and has returned home, according to the St. Charles County Police Department.

WENTZVILLE, Mo. — A teenager from St. Charles County is missing this morning.

He is homeschooled and was last seen leaving Liberty Church in O’Fallon, Missouri, around 4:45 p.m in a GMC Acadia Tuesday. His car was found later on North 13th Street near Cass Avenue , in the Carr Square neighborhood of north St. Louis.

He is 5’7″ tall, 260 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red hoodie and black shorts.

His mother tells police that this is something he has not done before. She says he has no friends in the area where the vehicle was found.

Investigators are concerned. They are talking with people at the gas station near where his vehicle was found.

The police are asking the public to help find him. They have no indication that foul play is involved at this time.

Anyone with information should call 911 or St. Charles County Police .
