Prep softball: Gardiner makes Ridgeline history
For the second time in less than three months a Riverhawk female has been honored by Gatorade as the best athlete in the Beehive State in her sport. Brielle Gardiner was named the 2023-24 Gatorade Utah Softball Player of the Year on Friday. The Ridgeline freshman played a major roll in the Riverhawks capturing the 4A state title last month for the second time in the last three years. Gardiner joins Ridgeline junior Emilee Skinner, who was named the Gatorade Utah Girls Basketball Player of the Year back in March.
60 in 60: #59 Utah State’s Logan Pili (Linebacker)
SALT LAKE CITY – The countdown for Hans & Scotty’s 60 in 60 is on. Coming in at #59 is Utah State‘s Logan Pili (LB). Pili is a sophomore linebacker from Provo, Utah. Coming out of high school, Pili was a three-star prospect and the 11th-ranked player in the state of Utah.

Letter: Efficient use of property is needed

Night maintenance underway by Wastewater Division on sewer lines in Logan
LOGAN -- City officials here are advising residents that the Logan Wastewater Division will be performing night maintenance on the sewer system during the month of June. Wastewater crews will clean city sewer lines running under state roads and other high traffic areas within Logan for much of the rest of the month.

Driver lodged under dashboard, killed after striking loaded cattle trailer in Cache County
WELLSVILLE, Utah (KUTV) — The sole occupant of a sedan was killed in a head-on crash with a semi-truck hauling a loaded cattle trailer in Wellsville. Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Cade Brenchley said troopers were dispatched to a crash on State Route 101, 529 East Main Street, just after 6:45 a.m. on Friday, May 31.
