A 56-year-old Wellington man died March 28 in a single-car crash in Huntington Township, according to a news release from the Elyria Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Danny Harris was driving a 2013 Dodge Dart when he crashed his vehicle and was killed, the release said.
At 8:53 p.m., troopers from the Elyria Post responded to the crash on state Route 58 near milepost 5 in Huntington Township.
Harris was driving his Dart north on Route 58 when he went off the left side of the road, struck the ditch and overturned multiple times, according to the release.
Harris was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the release said.
Route 58 was closed for three hours. The crash remains under investigation.
The Wellington Fire Department, South Lorain County EMS, Lorain County Coroner’s Office and D&A Towing assisted the Highway Patrol at the scene.
