A Summer Of Transformation
Currently fighting for the final Champions League spot, Aston Villa and Tottenham face pivotal summers. Both clubs view this summer as the one where their future as a top four club could be solidified. This landscape of the Premier League constantly shifts and neither club can let this chance slip.
Arm Injuries Plaguing MLB
Arm injuries have increased among Major League Baseball’s pitchers in the last few weeks, with some key aces going down and being put on the shelf for a lengthy period. Former American League Cy Young Award winner Shane Bieber (2020) announced on April 6th that he will undergo season-ending Tommy John surgery after suffering a torn UCL. Young Miami Marlins starter Eury Perez announced on April 4th the same. New York Yankees reliever Jonathan Loaisiga announced on April 6th will not be having Tommy John surgery, but will be having elbow surgery to fix a torn UCL as well. Houston Astros ace Framber Valdez and Atlanta Braves ace Spencer Strider both have hit the injured list due to elbow injuries, with Strider reporting significant damage to his UCL. Red Sox right-hander Nick Pivetta is also dealing with an elbow strain.
MLB’s Cheat Code: The Offensive Catcher
In fantasy football, what often separates the good teams from the great teams is drafting a dominant tight end early in drafts that revolutionizes the offense. It’s a physically demanding position that involves both blocking and catching, so the athletic game-wreckers that make the offenses so prolific, like Travis Kelce on the Chiefs, George Kittle on the 49ers, or Sam LaPorta on the Lions, make the offensive attacks of contenders a step above everyone else (and having some steadiness in your fantasy lineup as opposed to shuffling through blocking tight ends and hoping they end up with a touchdown or something as a miracle). Having a warrior of an offensive weapon whose focus is often blocking to set up the skill players is a cheat code.
The Rise of the Summer’s Best Move
In a somewhat quiet way, this past summer’s transfer class has been disappointing. From Chelsea’s gluttonous mess to whatever United’s doing, it’s hard to find any positives. However, Cole Palmer has announced himself as one of the best moves in recent memory. Palmer was never supposed...
