'This will save a life': ALDOT makes changes at Oxford intersection after ABC33/40 report
OXFORD, Ala. (WBMA) — Construction is underway at an intersection in Oxford in an effort to make it safer. ABC 33/40 first reported on the concerns drivers had at SR-202 and Bynum Boulevard in November of 2023. That report revealed crash data from the Oxford Police Department. According to Chief Bill Partridge, at the time of the initial report, the department had worked 15 crashes in the last 24 months at that location. He said in those 24 months, there has been one fatality, three have had serious injuries, and the rest have resulted in property damage.
