CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was taken to a hospital after an apartment fire in east Charlotte, Medic confirmed. It took 30 firefighters 20 minutes to control the fire at a two-story apartment building on Winding Cedar Trail, according to the Charlotte Fire Department. The cause of the fire was determined as an accidental cooking fire, investigators said. The fire caused an estimated $42,000 in damage to the complex.
