LA Squad Competes Twice
The Langford Area track squad competed in a pair of meets during the past week and also had two meets cancelled due to bad weather. Coach Charles Hosford’s crew participated in a meet at Groton last week Tuesday and traveled to Oakes on Thursday. LA was supposed to have competed in Webster on Friday and Milbank on Tuesday but those meets were cancelled.

Man killed in UTV crash near Conde
SPINK COUNTY, S.D. (KELO) — A 77-year-old man died Tuesday in a two-vehicle crash nine miles southwest of Conde, according to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety. On Tuesday at 4:48 p.m., a 60-year-old man was driving a pickup truck westbound on SD Hwy 20 and hit the driver of a CanAm Defender UTV when the 77-year-old man turned in front of the truck. The UTV went into the ditch where it rolled and the driver of the UTV died from his injuries.
