    Tractor trailer driver dies after I-80 crash

    BUTLER TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The driver of a tractor-trailer dies after crashing the vehicle on Interstate 80 Thursday.

    According to the Hazle Township Fire & Rescue Company, at 6:00 a.m. crews were called to I-80 west mile marker 267.2 in Butler Township for a rollover tractor-trailer crash.

    Traffic delays expected on Dickson City roadway

    Units arrived on the scene and saw the tractor-trailer on its side against guide rails. Crews said they were not able to make contact with the driver, who was entrapped in the vehicle.

    Multiple crews were able to extricate the victim after working on a rescue for an hour, however, the victim died from their injuries on the scene.

    The identity of the victim has not yet been released.

    Well dang but was it a medical condition that caused the crash or some other vehicle cut him off and the driver tried to avoid it? Would like a follow up to these half ass articles that only report “sensationalism “ news

    It’s kind of a free for all. Rare to see a speed cop. 70 mph might as well be 100 mph. Maybe exaggerating a bit but not much. Wait until winter.
