Street closures for 9/11 memorial ride in Williamsport

WILLIAMSPORT, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Street closures for the 9/11 memorial ride in Williamsport have been released as many come together to honor victims and first responders.

On Wednesday, September 11 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Lycoming County will be hosting a memorial motorcycle ride through South Williamsport, Duboistown, Williamsport, Loyalsock, Montoursville, Hughsville, and Muncy, according to Williamsport police.

There will be several road closures due to the event including Arch Street from Hiawatha Blvd to West Third Street and West Third Street from Arch Street to River Avenue.

Thousands of motorcyclists are expected to attend the ride and authorities encourage spectators to gather along the route.

Police note vehicles and pedestrians are not able to cross the parade until the route is over and to arrange alternative travel plans.
